Mr. And Mrs. F. A. McCollom Celebrate their Golden Wedding Anniversary.
At Dinner Mr. and Mrs. F,. A. McCollom of Douglas avenue are celebrating their golden wedding anniversary today. To commemorate the day, the couple will be honored at a cocktail dinner beginning at 6:30 p. m. today in the Fiesta Room of Del Camino. Hosts for the dinner are the honored couple's daughter, Mrs, John Kehmeier, Mr. Kehmeier, their son, Victor · McCollom, and Mrs. McCollom. : The dinner table is spread with a cloth of white linen and is centered with an arrangement of white flowers. The gown was designed-and created by WrssEfffc Day of Popular and will be part of the official wardrobe. Mrs. Kehmeier is wearing a dress of blonde lace and a corsage of pink camelias, and Mrs. Victor McCollom is appearing in a tea gown of royal blue satin with matching lace accents. Her corsage is of white camelias. The honored couple were married on Feb. 28, 1909, in Sapulpa, Okla. Mr. McCollom was then 1 'a switchman for the Frisco Railroad. Soon afterwards he went to work for the Southern Pacific and in 1915 they moved to El Paso for Mr. McCollom to become a switch-man. He worked up the status of night yardmaster,' a position which he held until he retirement three years ago. "We are crazy about El Paso and we just wouldn't live-anywhere else," says Mrs. McCollom. When asked about the many changes in the city over the past 44 years, Mrs. McCollom laughingly states, "When we came here, Montana avenue was the show place of the town, with all of the big fine homes.
